Vice President, Head Of Clinical Pharmacology at Arcus Biosciences

Balaji Agoram has a strong background in clinical pharmacology and drug development. Balaji is currently the Vice President and Head of Clinical Pharmacology at Arcus Biosciences since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Forty Seven, Inc. from July 2017 to January 2021, where they held the position of Head of Clinical Pharmacology. Before that, they worked at MedImmune as the Clinical Pharmacology Head from January 2015 to July 2017, and as the Director of Clinical Pharmacology/DMPK from June 2010 to July 2017. Balaji's earlier experience includes working at Pfizer as the Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology from February 2006 to June 2010, and at Amgen as a Pharmacokineticist Pharmacometrician from 2002 to 2006. Balaji began their career at Simulations Plus, Inc. as a Senior Scientist from 2000 to 2002.

Balaji Agoram completed their SSLC degree at San Thome HSS from 1987 to 1989. Balaji then went on to pursue a B Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from 1989 to 1993. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Colorado Boulder between 1994 and 2001.
