Jason Barker

Jason Barker is the current VP, Finance & Principal Financial Officer at Arcus Biosciences. Jason has also previously worked at American Airlines / Sabre Holdings / Travelocity.com as a Finance Manager from January 1998 to December 2000. Barker has also worked as Vice President, Finance at Audentes Therapeutics from February 2016 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for all accounting, audit, financial reporting, treasury, tax, payroll, stock plan administration, contract management and risk management. Duties also included budgeting and forecasting, corporate governance, establishment and maintenance of international operations, contract negotiations, annual proxy filings and coordination of annual shareholder meetings. Barker served as CFO for all international subsidiaries. During their time at Audentes Therapeutics, some of their key achievements include building the finance and accounting team from a zero-base into a team of 14 professionals, spearheading the company’s operational readiness for an IPO that was completed in July 2016, achieving Sarbanes-Oxley 404(a) compliance in 2018 and 404(b) compliance in 2019, establishing international operations in four locales including France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, establishing an international tax structure in the Cayman Islands in 2017, partnering in the negotiation of a $20M venture debt arrangement including a pivotal role in structuring the debt as an option which avoided approximately $1.5M in interest costs, leading the implementation of Netsuite ERP in 2016 and Oracle Cloud ERP in 2018/2019, and supporting numerous private and public financings including a $75M IPO and $460M in follow-on offerings.

Jason Barker has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, Accounting, and Business Law from The University of Texas at Arlington. Jason is currently working as a financial analyst for a large corporation.
