Katy van Pelt

Katy Van Pelt is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in ethics, compliance, and regulatory matters within the biotech and medical industries. Currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Ethics and Compliance/Data Protection Officer at Arcus Biosciences since May 2021, Katy also co-founded Triseka, which focuses on developing innovative terahertz sources for molecular imaging. Prior roles include Senior Corporate Counsel at Recursion, where strategic legal advice was provided to an AI/ML-enabled biotech, and Partner at Potomac Law Group, where counseling on FDA regulations was a key focus. Additional experience encompasses legal and regulatory positions at Abbott, Sidley Austin, and Wiley Rein LLP. Katy holds a JD from William & Mary Law School and a BA in English/Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
