Ying Yu

Ying Yu has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. They have held various senior roles in companies such as Arcus Biosciences, Bristol Myers Squibb, MyoKardia, Versartis, Inc., Heron Therapeutics, Inc., and Onyx Pharmaceuticals.

Highlights of their experience include managing drug substance process development, GMP manufacturing, and regulatory filing for multiple development programs at Bristol Myers Squibb. They also led the initiation of the first in human Phase 1 study.

At MyoKardia, Ying Yu served as the Senior Director and Director of Chemical Development, CMC, contributing to the company's chemical development initiatives.

Additionally, they held the role of Director, CMC Operations Drug Substance at Versartis, Inc., and Associate Director of Manufacturing and Development at Heron Therapeutics, Inc.

At Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Ying Yu worked as a Senior Manager and Manager in Chemical Development, where they were involved in technology transfer, API process validation, NDA submission, commercial production coordination, and qualification of commercial CMOs.

Ying Yu's career spans from 2008 to the present, and they have been involved in various aspects of chemical development, manufacturing, and regulatory processes throughout their professional journey.

Ying Yu earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Emory University from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Peking University.
