Lia Parifax has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Lia started their career in 2007 as an intern at the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, where they conducted research, authored articles, and monitored legislation related to civil rights issues. In 2009, they worked as a Law Clerk at the United States Attorney's Office, where they performed legal research and writing for various criminal cases. Lia then gained legal experience as a Judicial Intern at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, assisting with legal writing and attending civil and criminal hearings. In 2010, they joined Alston & Bird LLP as a Summer Law Clerk, focusing on financial services and corporate mergers and acquisitions. Lia continued their tenure at the firm in 2011 as an Associate, specializing in global finance and debt products. In 2012, they transitioned to Out Leadership, where they served as a Managing Director, focusing on global initiatives. Finally, in 2015, they joined the Arcus Foundation, initially as the Director of Executive Initiatives, then as the Director of Executive Planning and Project Management, and most recently as the Director of Organizational Learning and Executive Projects.

Lia Parifax completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from Lafayette College from 2004 to 2008. Lia then pursued further education at The George Washington University Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree from 2008 to 2011.
