Christopher Luna

Christopher Luna has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various roles and industries. Christopher began their career at GNP SEGUROS in 2005, where they worked as a Change Management Leader, coordinating the implementation of strategic projects and customer service model processes. In 2007, they joined Ixe Grupo Financiero as Deputy Director of the Project Management Officer, responsible for managing strategic initiatives and executing transformation programs.

In 2011, Christopher moved to Nacional Monte de Piedad, where they held multiple positions. As Deputy Director of Retail & eCommerce, they led the digital transformation efforts and developed a portfolio of online and offline commercial channels. Christopher then transitioned to the role of Deputy Director of Strategy, PMO, MIS & BPI, where they contributed to evolving the organization's non-profit financial services.

In 2017, Christopher joined Walmart as Senior Director, leading digital payments and financial services. Christopher later became Deputy Director of eCommerce Strategy, focusing on strategic management and identifying business development opportunities to enhance the company's capabilities.

Christopher then joined Citibanamex in 2019, where they served as Digital Business Development & Digital Payments Head. Christopher played a key role in building partnerships and designing banking strategies, including banking as a service and open banking. Christopher also led product management for mobile payments and explored new opportunities for customer experience enhancement. In 2021, they returned to Walmart as Senior Director of Digital Wallet - Digital Payments, overseeing the digital payments division.

Most recently, Christopher Luna will join Arcus, a Mastercard company, as the Chief Executive Officer in 2023.

Christopher Luna received a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Christopher then pursued executive education at Harvard Business School, completing programs on Competing in the Age of Digital Platforms in 2023 and Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage in 2018. In 2010, they obtained an Executive MBA from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Additionally, in 2008, they obtained a Project Management Professional [PMP] certification from the Project Management Institute.
