Sanami Nakayama

Sanami Nakayama, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Accounting at Arcutis Biotherapeutics, Inc. since October 2023, having previously held the position of Associate Director of Accounting within the same company. Prior to this role, Sanami was the Senior Manager of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting at Allogene Therapeutics from March 2022 to October 2023, and held various accounting positions at Arcutis Biotherapeutics, including Accounting Manager from April 2021 to March 2022. Sanami’s professional background also includes experience as an Assurance Senior and Assurance Associate at EY, as well as an Accountant at Noodles & Company and an Assurance Intern at PwC. Earlier educational experiences include serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Sanami holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organismal Biology from Scripps College, a Certified Advanced Accounting Proficiency from Santa Clara University, and a Master of Science in Zoology with a focus on Marine Biology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
