Kenji Kozuka

Kenji Kozuka has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various roles in different companies.

Kenji is currently working at Ardelyx, Inc. as the Director of Preclinical Research and Nonclinical Development, starting in May 2022.

Prior to their current position, Kenji worked at Visterra Inc. as the Director of Nonclinical Development from November 2021 to May 2022.

Kenji also has a long history with Ardelyx, Inc., where they held multiple roles. Kenji served as the Associate Director of Pharmacology and DMPK from January 2019 to November 2021. Before that, they were the Senior Manager of DMPK in 2018 and the Manager of DMPK in 2017. Kenji also worked as the Manager of Bioanalytical from April 2015 to December 2016 and as a Scientist in Translational Biology and Bioanalysis from January 2013 to March 2015. Kenji started their career at Ardelyx, Inc. as a Senior Research Associate in Bioanalytical in July 2011 and worked their way up to become a Research Associate II and Research Associate in Bioanalytical from 2010 to 2011.

Additionally, Kenji has experience working at Alvine Pharmaceuticals as a Research Associate in Biology from February 2008 to August 2008 and as a Research Intern at Genentech from May 2006 to January 2008.

Kenji Kozuka completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from San Jose State University from 2001 to 2004. Kenji then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from San Jose State University from 2005 to 2008.
