John Russell

John Russell is the Director of Finance at Ardmore Shipping. John has over fifteen years of experience in finance and accounting. Prior to joining Ardmore, John was the Senior Director of Global Account Management at Flex from March 2011 to June 2018. John also worked as a Financial Analyst at ESB International from May 2009 to February 2011 and as a Senior in Corporate Finance at Deloitte from October 2005 to April 2009.

John Russell has a degree in finance from University College Cork and an MSc in financial services from the University of Limerick. John is also a chartered accountant and has a professional qualification in accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland. In addition, they have a degree in high performance leadership from IMD.

They are on a team with Ashish Malik - Managing Director, Anglo Ardmore Joint Venture, Aideen O’Driscoll - VP & Director Corporate Services, and Robert Gaina - Director, Commercial Operations. John Russell reports to Anthony Gurnee, President & CEO. Some direct reports include Seán Hegarty - Financial Accountant, Hugh Broderick - Finance Associate, and Sandy Tan - Senior Financial Accountant, Singapore.
