Operations Manager (Interim) at Ardra Bio

Sripad Joshi, PhD. has held a variety of roles in the past few years. In 2022, they began working as an Operations Manager (Interim) for Ardra Inc. Prior to that, they worked as a Research and Development Specialist for Indiva in 2021, an Extraction Tech for Entourage Health (formerly WeedMD Inc.) in 2021, a Research Assistant (Post doctoral) for Ivey Business School at Western University in 2020, a Graduate Research Assistant for McGill University in 2016, a Student Navigator for McGill University Library in 2018, a Teaching Assistant for McGill University - Macdonald Campus in 2016, and an Executive Board Member (Treasurer) for Macdonald campus graduate student society (MCGSS) in 2017. Additionally, in 2016, they completed an Accelerate Internship with Mitacs, where they collaborated with the industry partner Progest 2001 Inc. and designed experiments to develop a cisgenic potato genotype with enhanced disease resistance and higher mineral bioavailability. Sripad also developed the plant tissue culture protocol for the potato genotype and developed in vitro lines in laboratory, as well as designed and developed a CRISPR-Cas genome editing experiment to develop transgenic lines with specific traits. In 2018, they also completed a Research Internship at the University of Minnesota.

Sripad Joshi obtained their Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Karnatak University between 2008 and 2011. Sripad then completed an Advanced Diploma in Bioinformatics at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT and Biotechnology in 2012. In 2012, Joshi earned their Master of Science in Botany/Plant Biology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, which they completed in 2014. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Sciences from McGill University in 2020.
