Brian McConnell is a seasoned director, having founded Hydrock in 1995 and led it to become a multi-disciplinary engineering, energy, and sustainability consultancy with over 950 employees. Under their leadership, Hydrock earned accolades, including frequent appearances on the 100 Best Companies to Work For list and the Engineering Consultant of the Year award in 2023. Following the acquisition of Hydrock by Stantec in May 2024, Brian retired after nearly 29 years with the company. Currently, they serve as a director at Arenite Developments and a strategic advisor at Corre Energy.
