Christopher Martenson

Christopher Martenson is an experienced executive with a diverse background in leadership and operational management across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Chief Data Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Arete since June 2019, Martenson previously held the role of Executive Director at Journey, where responsibilities included overseeing a team of over 1000 staff and volunteers while supporting numerous community initiatives. Prior experience includes a decade at Belpres as Director, where significant donor growth was achieved, and leadership roles at Microsoft in Live Services and Escalation Management, showcasing expertise in feature management and customer support. Martenson began the career as a Paralegal and Tax Preparer, accumulating a rich blend of skills in law, finance, and technology. Educationally, Martenson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Studies from Azusa Pacific University.
