Elena Alexander is a skilled dog trainer and animal care professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Shelter to Service Trainer at Joybound People & Pets since June 2023, Elena previously worked as a Dog Trainer at District Dogs, where responsibilities included teaching basic obedience and assisting in specialized workshops. Additional experience includes serving as a Structured Daycare Attendant at District Dogs, providing care for dogs with behavioral challenges, and working with Rover.com as a Dog Walker and Sitter. Prior roles involved instructing at the Rock Creek Park Horse Centre and interning in the Mammalian Ecology and Conservation Unit focused on red fox research. Elena holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Global Wildlife Health and Conservation from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of California, Davis.
