Sean McGinnis

Sean McGinnis has a diverse range of experience in various roles related to animal care and welfare. Sean started their career as a Kennel Attendant at AngelDogs Foundation Deaf Dog Ranch, where they were responsible for the basic care of dogs. Sean then worked as a Pet Caregiver at Best Friends Animal Society, where they provided cleaning and observation services for dogs and cats.

At Best Friends Animal Society, Sean also held the roles of Adoption Specialist and Lead Adoption Specialist, where they facilitated high-volume adoptions and provided post-adoption support. Sean later joined Animal Rescue Foundation, where they served as the Adoption Supervisor, overseeing customer service and adoption operations. Sean then progressed to the role of Animal Care Supervisor, where they coordinated and ensured the humane housing and care of shelter animals.

In their most recent position at Animal Rescue Foundation, Sean held the role of Shelter Manager, providing leadership and coordination for the rescue and adoption efforts. Sean also served as the Director of Rescue, Care, and Adoption, overseeing the overall operations and goals of the organization.

Before their career in animal care, Sean worked as an Administrative Assistant and Business Development Associate at Yuba City Advanced Imaging Center. In this role, they assisted with the day-to-day operations of the diagnostic imaging facility and implemented procedures to increase profitability.

Sean McGinnis attended Woodland Senior High School from 2002 to 2006, where they received their high school diploma with a focus on general studies. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies at Solano Community College. After completing their associate degree, Sean attended Culver-Stockton College from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Corporate Leadership. More recently, in 2019, Sean McGinnis received a Certificate in Animal Shelter Management from the University of the Pacific.
