Monish Mahurkar

Head of Climate Transition at Arga Investment Management LP

Monish Mahurkar has extensive experience in the finance industry. Monish began their career in 1986 as Vice President at Citibank India, where they held various positions in Treasury, Finance and Risk Management and was Head of Local Currency Trading from 1992-1996. In 1996, they moved to Citi where they held the positions of Managing Director and Vice President. In 2007, they became Managing Director of Fixed Income at Merrill Lynch. In 2008, they joined Praxis Advisors as Director. From 2009-2012, they worked at the Asian Development Bank as Head of Local Currency Capital Markets. From 2012-2022, they were Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Resources, Director of Treasury Market Operations and Director of Treasury Client Solutions at IFC - International Finance Corporation. Most recently, they were appointed Head of Climate Transition at ARGA Investment Management, LP in 2022.

Monish Mahurkar obtained their MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore between 1984 and 1986, where they studied Finance & Marketing. Prior to this, they obtained their BA (Hons) in Economics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi between 1981 and 1984.
