James Balda

James Balda is the current President & CEO at Argentum. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President, Innovation & Business Development at the National Restaurant Association from October 2008 to January 2015. In this role, they were responsible for advancing the association’s membership and partner products strategy focusing on member value development, insurance and financial services, and industry partnerships.

Before their time at the National Restaurant Association, Balda served as the Vice President, Member Services & Professional Development at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) from November 2003 to October 2008. In this role, they were a member of the senior management team providing strategic leadership and direction to the association. James was also responsible for member recruitment and retention activities representing over $28 million in annual revenue, directing and guiding the Center for Insurance Education & Professional Development, and managing all online publishing, news, and advertising programs.

Balda has a long history of experience in developing new markets and business opportunities to provide long-term revenue growth for organizations. James has also overseen numerous budgets and forecasting for different programs. Their experience in customer service, data management, e-commerce, finance, and marketing make him well-suited for their current position as President & CEO at Argentum.

James Balda's educational career would include a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland.
