Arpad Simon

Arpad Simon has a vast and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Arpad is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Global Patient Safety at argenx since December 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President and Head of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance at AMAG Pharmaceuticals from 2017 to November 2020.

Arpad Simon also worked as the Vice President of Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance at Relypsa, Inc. from 2015 to 2017. Arpad served as the Head of Drug Safety at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Development America, Inc. in 2013.

Before joining these companies, Arpad Simon had a remarkable career at Pfizer as the Worldwide Safety and Regulatory, Site Head & Global Therapeutic Area Head Neuroscience from 2008 to 2013. Arpad also worked at Novartis as a Senior Brand Safety Leader from 2006 to 2008, and as the Global Head of Medical Safety and Epidemiology from 2005 to 2006.

Arpad Simon started their career at Sanofi Pasteur as a Senior Product Safety Officer from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they worked at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), PSI International, Inc. as a Health Scientist/Quality Control Specialist/Supervisor and Pharmaceutical Consultant from 1999 to 2003.

Arpad Simon's education history includes obtaining a degree in General Medicine from Szegedi Tudományegyetem from 1985 to 1992. Arpad also received an M.D. in General Medicine from the University of Szeged. Furthermore, they completed the United States Medical Licensing Examination and obtained a Medical Doctor degree. Lastly, they pursued additional studies in Descriptive Statistics and Statistics: Probability at the University of California, Berkeley, completing in 2014.
