Timothy Garcia-Blalock

Timothy Garcia-Blalock, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of medical writing. Timothy is currently working as the Director of Medical Writing at Argenx, a position they have held since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Shire as the Principal Medical Writer from October 2016 to October 2019. Timothy also served as a Senior Medical Writer at Takeda Oncology from June 2012 to October 2016. Timothy started their career as a Medical Writer at Biogen from May 2011 to June 2012 and then at Ora, Inc. from August 2010 to May 2011. Timothy also worked as a Medical Writer/Senior Scientist at Stemnion, Inc. from December 2008 to January 2010 and as a Research Scientist at EyeGate Pharmaceuticals from August 2007 to December 2008. Timothy began their professional journey as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School from January 2004 to August 2007.

Timothy Garcia-Blalock, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology at Charleston Southern University from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they attended the University of Florida from 1999 to 2003, where they earned their Ph.D. in Biomedical Science.
