James R.

James R. began their career in 1992 as an Electronic Warfare Technician in the US Navy. In 2004, they became an Information Assurance Manager at NNMC Bethesda. James then moved to the US Naval Observatory in 2005, where they served as the Information Assurance Officer and Manager. In 2007, they joined Smartronix, Inc. as a Senior Information Assurance Engineer. In 2008, they became the Chief Information Security Officer at the Naval Research Laboratory. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Technology Program Manager at Aileron Electronic Services. James then moved to the Naval Air Systems Command in 2011, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer until 2017. In 2017, they joined Mission Solutions Group, Inc. as the Executive Vice President of Cyber. In 2018, they co-founded ARGO Cyber Systems, where they currently serve as the CEO.

James R. began their educational journey in 2001, when they earned an Associate's Degree in Network Administration from Pensacola Junior College. James then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they completed in 2009. Afterward, they earned a Certificate in Information Assurance from the National Defense University in 2009. Finally, in 2010, James R. obtained a Master's Degree in Cyber Security from Capitol Technology University.
