Alex Alcantar

Alex Alcantar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in supporting small businesses, currently serving as the Small Business Liaison Officer at Argonne National Laboratory since September 2019. Previously, Alex held the position of Director at the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where leading efforts resulted in over $200 million in secured contracts for small business clients, contributing to the creation and retention of more than 700 jobs. Alex has a strong background in strategic planning and implementation of programs aimed at enhancing business growth, including advising over 400 small businesses and cultivating key relationships with various organizations to promote supplier diversity. Alex's career also includes experience as a Project Coordinator and Project Intern, focusing on assisting entrepreneurs and conducting market research. Alex holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Chicago State University.
