Grace Avellar

Grace Avellar is a Mechanical Engineering Specialist at Argonne National Laboratory since June 2020 and previously held the position of Electromechanical Technician III. Grace's experience includes serving as an NSF Undergraduate Researcher at Miami University, where research focused on identifying impending postural instability in neurologically impaired individuals. Earlier internships at Napa Sanitation District allowed Grace to gain valuable skills, such as training interns in AutoCAD, integrating systems into Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, reviewing pipe conditions through CCTV, and participating in the design and management of sewer rehabilitation projects. Grace holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has also studied at the Technical University of Denmark.
