Hubert Ley

Hubert Ley is an experienced professional in the field of nuclear engineering and transportation research, currently serving as the Director of the Transportation Research and Analysis Computing Center at Argonne National Laboratory since January 1997. Previously, Hubert managed the Transportation Simulation Team, focusing on emergency evacuation simulations using TRANSIMS and the development of methodologies for individual behavior under such conditions. As a Staff Scientist and Nuclear Engineer, Hubert provided technical advice to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for establishing the Asian Nuclear Safety Network and worked on developing web-based databases and collaboration tools to support International Nuclear Safety Centers. Hubert holds a Dr.-Ing. and a Dipl. Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, earned between 1983 and 1993.
