Jim Tarvin

Jim Tarvin is an experienced software solutions leader with a strong background in financial technology. Currently serving as the Head of Enterprise Software Solutions at Argonne National Laboratory since March 2019, Jim previously operated as an independent consultant specializing in low latency software and financial business solutions from June 2017 to February 2019. Notable roles include Head of Elektron Real Time Collections Development at Thomson Reuters, where Jim led a global team of over 250 engineers, and Executive Director positions at UBS, managing client connectivity and trade monitoring systems with a focus on low latency. Jim's career began as a Senior Software Engineer at Island ECN, and Jim has also held leadership roles in Europe at Stafford Trading. Jim holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of South Dakota.
