John Quintana

John Quintana has extensive experience in operations and engineering leadership at Argonne National Laboratory since April 2005, currently serving as the Deputy Associate Laboratory Director for Operations within the Photon Sciences Directorate. This role involves overseeing the Advanced Photon Source, a key scientific user facility funded by the Department of Energy. John's prior positions at Argonne include Manager of Accelerator and Beamline Engineering, Senior Advisor in the Energy and Global Security Directorate, and various leadership roles focused on operations and engineering support. Earlier career experiences include a consulting role at Canadian Light Source Inc. and a Research Professor position at Northwestern University, where John directed a scientific x-ray facility.
