Josh Smith

Josh Smith has over a decade of experience in nuclear waste management and health physics, currently serving as a Nuclear Waste Specialist and Lead Health Physics Technician at Argonne National Laboratory since July 2009. In this role, Josh is responsible for distributing work assignments and addressing personal or technical issues among technicians, playing a key role in a significant multi-million dollar project involving the de-inventory and downgrade of the Alpha Gamma Hot Cell Facility. Additionally, from January 2019 to January 2023, Josh held the position of President of Argonne Lodge No. 742 with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, where responsibilities included informing members of their rights under the collective bargaining agreement and ensuring compliance with various laws. Josh holds an Advanced Bachelor's of Applied Science in Accounting and Business/Management from Rasmussen University and an Associate's Degree in Nuclear Technology, specializing in Radiation Protection/Health Physics Technician from State Technical College of Missouri.
