Matthew T. Dearing

Matthew T. Dearing serves as the AIOps Technical Lead and Applications Development 4 at Argonne National Laboratory, where leadership in the AI for Operations initiative has driven innovations in efficiency and workflow augmentation. With experience in software development, including integrations and data transformations, Matthew has significantly contributed to various operational aspects of the laboratory. As an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois Springfield, Matthew teaches courses in operating systems, deep learning, and calculus, while also participating in the AI Steering Committee. Matthew has held positions at the University of Chicago Consortium for Advanced Science and Engineering, Cambridge Proofreading Worldwide LLC, and KDnuggets, among others, demonstrating a diverse background in academic and technical editing, scientific research, and data science communication. Educationally, Matthew is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, with prior degrees encompassing a Bachelor’s in Physics and a Master’s in Computer Science.
