Sarah R. Zinn

Sarah R. Zinn, PhD, PMP, currently serves as the Interim Human and Organizational Performance Program Manager at Argonne National Laboratory, where responsibilities include overseeing the development of a program focused on improving organizational practices to enhance decision-making and reduce unwanted outcomes. Previously, Sarah held the position of Environment, Safety, and Health Coordinator, leading initiatives to improve safety culture and processes within the laboratory setting. A postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, Sarah conducted studies on the factors influencing safety behavior among lab researchers. As the founder and president of The Joint Research Safety Initiative at the University of Chicago, Sarah developed organizational structures and events aimed at enhancing research safety culture. Educational background includes a PhD in Physical Chemistry and a master's degree from the University of Chicago, along with a bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University, highlighting a strong foundation in chemistry and applied physics.
