Zhengcheng Zhang

Zhengcheng (John) Zhang is a Senior Chemist and Group Leader at Argonne National Laboratory since November 2007, where leadership in the Advanced Electrolyte Research Group addresses critical issues in electrochemical energy storage technologies, including various battery types and electrolytes throughout the development pipeline. Additionally, since June 2022, Zhang serves as a Senior Scientist at the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago while also having held previous positions including Project Manager and Senior Battery Engineer at Quallion and Assistant Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and recent executive education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
