Mario Ortiz

Mario Ortiz has extensive experience in maintenance and project management within the cement industry, currently serving as the Maintenance and Project Manager at Cementos Argos since May 2010. Responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance of cement production lines and grinding plants, as well as managing projects that enhance asset reliability and integrity. Previously, Mario held the role of Electrical Maintenance Manager, handling budgets, safety plans, and preventive maintenance, along with various transversal projects. Prior to Cementos Argos, Mario worked at Lafarge as a Safety Coordinator and Chief of the Electrical Area, focusing on safety standards and electrical maintenance, and began a career as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at the National Electrical Company of Honduras. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration in Projects from UNITEC and a degree in Engineering, Electricity from the National Autonomous University of Honduras, along with a Bachelor's in Engineering from a technical institute.
