Alex Salcedo has over 20 years of work experience in the field of laboratory and project management. Alex started their career in 1994 as a Field and Lab Technician at Proffesional Services Industries PSI, where they worked for four years. In 1998, they joined Arias & Associates Inc as a Laboratory Director / Project Manager, where they continue to work to this day.

Alex Salcedo attended San Antonio College from 1992 to 1994, where they earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Engineering Technology. Along with their degree, Alex has obtained several certifications in the field. These include certifications from the American Concrete Institute in areas such as Concrete Field Testing Technician (Grade I), Aggregate Base Testing Technician, Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician, Concrete Strength Testing Technician, Concrete Aggregate Testing Technician (Level I), Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician (Level II), and Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician (Level I). Alex has also received certifications from the Hot Mix Asphalt Center in Soil & Flexible Base Properties, Soil & Flexible Base Field, Soil & Flexible Base Material Analyst, Soil & Flexible Base Strength, Soil & Flexible Base Compaction, Plant Production, and Roadway. Alex has completed a Lime Stabilization Workshop offered by Lime Stabilization of Texas. Alex holds Level III certifications in Construction Materials Testing for Soils, Concrete, and Asphalt from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET). Additionally, they have received certification as a Nuclear Gauge Operator for Nuclear Radiation for Moisture and Density Gauge.
