Chana Hymowitz-Stein

First Grade Teacher at Arie Crown Hebrew Day School

Chana Hymowitz-Stein is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching various grades and subjects. Currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Arie Crown Hebrew Day School since August 2017, Chana focuses on creating student-centered lessons in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and social/emotional learning for a class of 19 six-year-old boys. Previous roles include teaching 4th and 5th Grade Judaic Studies and 2nd and 3rd Grade Hebrew Reading at Jewish Family Experience, along with student teaching in 6th grade at Chicago Public Schools. Chana has also volunteered in classrooms, providing support in literacy and social studies, and assisting children with special needs. Chana holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College.
