Chief Learning Officer at Arifu

Marisa Conway has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2005 with Amnesty International as a Member and Chairman of the Osaka 95 group. In this role, they led meeting discussions on human-rights violations and organized letter writing campaigns and fundraising events. In 2007, they worked as a Canvasser for the Fund for the Public Interest and a Research Assistant for AACSB International. In 2008, they held three positions: a Public Health Volunteer for the Peace Corps, a Project Management Intern for Management Systems International, and a Health Policy Fellow for Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access. In 2011, they worked as an Early Childhood Education Teacher for the International School of Boston. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Founder/Program Director of A Place in the Sun Foundation, where they developed a six-week pilot program in Touna, Mali. In 2014, they began their role as Chief Learning Officer at Arifu, where they have nine years of experience building the Arifu team and supporting them to deliver informational digital training programs to 1.5M+ individuals in nine African countries. Marisa has headed several departments, including Learning Design, Research, Project Management, Product Development, and Quality Assurance.

Marisa Conway attended the University of Florida from 2000 to 2004, where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Psychology. In 2002, they participated in an exchange program at RMIT University, studying Anthropology. In 2011, they completed their Master of Education in International Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
