Brian Kilburn

Brian Kilburn has extensive work experience in the field of genomics and reproductive health. Brian started their career at Wayne State University in 1996, where they served as a Research Laboratory Manager for 20 years. During this time, they managed various research projects, authored/co-authored scientific publications, and oversaw project planning and laboratory operations.

In 2016, Kilburn joined Advanced Reproductive Testing as a Senior Research Scientist. Here, they led a team of four direct reports and was responsible for product development, experiment design, data analysis, resourcing, and budgeting. Brian also managed clinical sample processing for genomic analysis.

In 2018, Kilburn moved to Cradle Genomics as a Senior Scientist. In this role, they focused on non-invasive prenatal diagnostics and led the development and optimization of processes to isolate rare fetal trophoblasts from challenging cervical samples.
