Evan Xu

Evan Xu has a diverse work experience. Evan started their career in 2011 as a Web Administrator, Travel Visa Counselor and Operations Coordinator at Visa Network. In 2014, they joined Golden Gate Pharmacy as an IT Support and Apex Maritime Co., Inc. as an Ocean Import Operation Specialist. In 2019, they became a Software Engineer at Arine, developing modern React/Redux portals served by AWS stack with standard tooling. At Visa Network, they integrated new UI components into the existing website and improved overall UX by refactoring CSS and restructuring web pages layout. At Golden Gate Pharmacy, they served as a web consultant for search engine optimization (SEO), maintenance, and ads campaigns for Drupal based eCommerce website. At Apex Maritime Co., Inc., they increased team productivity and cut down on repetitive tasks by using open source and proprietary softwares.

Evan Xu completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Systems from San Francisco State University. Evan then attended Thinkful's Full Stack Web Development Program from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from City College of San Francisco. Evan also attended the Treasure Island Job Corps Center for Electrical. In 2008, they obtained an OSHA Certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor. Evan also holds a Certificate of Completion from Thinkful's Full Stack Flex program.
