Brian Hoskins

Brian Hoskins has over 20 years of experience in business development, product management, and venture-backed startups. Brian began their career in 1998 as Manager of Business Development for Enron's Telecom Joint Venture, where they launched the first-ever video-on-demand service delivered through DSL with Blockbuster Entertainment. Brian then moved to the Corporate Executive Board as an Engagement Manager in 2003, followed by an MBA Internship at the NASDAQ Stock Market. From 2004 to 2011, they held various positions at Microsoft Corp., including Director of Business Development and Senior Product Manager. In 2011, Hoskins began advising startups, including Soundtracker and Motolingo. In 2012, they became an Advisor at Naya Ventures, and in 2013 they founded Slingkast. In 2015, Hoskins founded Ario, a venture-backed company building the world's only smart lighting service. Brian led the company from concept to issued patent, scaling across thousands of consumers and businesses. Hoskins was selected to Stanford StartX, Pfizer Innovation Program, Lab360, and Hardware Club accelerators, and Ario has been covered in hundreds of publications.

Brian Hoskins received their Valedictorian degree from St. Xavier High School Louisville, KY in 1994. Brian then attended Vanderbilt University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a BA in Economics and French. In 2001, they obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School, majoring in Business. Brian also holds certifications from Eliademy's AppCademy and Microsoft's Bing Ads Accredited Professional.
