Johann Einarsson

Johann Einarsson has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Johann began their career as an Assistant Teacher at Reykjavik University in 2015. Johann then moved on to work at Íslandsbanki, where they held multiple roles. Johann started as an Assistant Corporate Advisor in asset-based financing, managing relationships with small to medium-sized business clients. Later, they became a Corporate Advisor, specializing in Factoring. In this role, Johann consulted, negotiated, and handled customer relations with a wide range of companies. Johann analyzed financial statements, assessed default risk, and evaluated future cash flows for decision-making. Johann also monitored and analyzed import statistics for trend analysis and forecasting. Next, Johann worked as a Summer Finance OTC Intern at Conduent in 2018, followed by a Teaching Assistant position at New York University, where they taught a course on Corporate Finance. Most recently, they joined Icelandair as a Demand Analyst in Network Revenue Management. In this role, Johann handled capacity adjustments due to market fluctuations and various challenges, such as the Boeing 737 MAX issue and the Covid19 pandemic. Presently, they are working at Arion banki in the field of Corporate Finance.

Johann Einarsson completed their Matriculation Examination in Economics at Verzlunarskóli Íslands from 2006 to 2010. Johann then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Engineering from Háskóli Íslands from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they attended NYU Tandon School of Engineering from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained a Master's in Financial Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Johann Einarsson also obtained certifications as a Smartsheet Certified User in July 2018 and completed the Bloomberg Market Concepts course in February 2018.
