John Garris

John Garris is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in product development, engineering, and strategic innovation within the energy and financial sectors. As Co-founder and CTO of Arise Energy since February 2021, John has driven the creation and launch of a self-service energy marketplace for commercial customers. Previously, as Co-founder and CTO at pear.ai, John led the development of energy intelligence software that facilitated cost reduction for commercial clients and contributed to its acquisition by Constellation Energy. Additional roles include serving as an advisor at Solinea and in leadership positions at Wrap Media, UBS, Standard Chartered Bank, Frog Design, Salesforce.com, Open Media Network, and JPMorgan. John holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities with Honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
