Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, where responsibilities include developing hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and other educational devices as part of a cross-functional team. Previously, Chris held the position of firmware engineer at the same company, focusing on firmware and diagnostic tool development. Prior experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, obtaining valuable skills in electronics design and repair for educational devices, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, where responsibilities involved conducting labs and grading. Chris began the career as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control systems for the forestry industry.
