Aidan Nelson

Aidan Nelson is a Technical Director at Park Avenue Armory, overseeing historical room installations and performances since July 2022. As Co-Founder and CEO of Arium, Aidan leads efforts to create immersive 3D web experiences for cultural organizations. In academia, Aidan serves as an Adjunct Professor at New York University, focusing on media technology and real-time social spaces, while also conducting research as a Postdoctoral Researcher in digital media and networked art. Aidan previously held roles at Park Avenue Armory as Production Coordinator, contributing to high-profile installations, and gained development experience during a Google Summer of Code project. Additional experience includes freelance production work, creative direction for an apparel brand, and directing bilingual Shakespeare productions in Bosnia and Rwanda. Aidan holds a Master’s Degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Dartmouth College.
