Roy Bartel-Taverner

Roy has a background in both finance and science. Prior to completing his medical doctorate, Roy worked in equity research at UBS, gaining extensive experience in due diligence and a deep understanding of the drivers of both private and public valuations. Roy then moved into investment management, working on investments and IPO’s in the biotech sector. During his time working as a doctor, Roy focused on Geriatrics and Psychiatry. This gave him first-hand experience of day-to-day prescribing decisions of a wide range of medicines on the front line of patient care.

Roy completed his undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, where he specialised in biochemistry, cancer biology and therapeutics. He then went onto an MSc in Brain and Mind sciences at UCL in Queens square, with his research project investigating the neural correlates of psychological processes using fMRI neuroimaging.
