Chana Zimmerman

Chana Zimmerman has extensive work experience in journalism and editing. Chana is currently working as the Editor-in-Chief for American Banker at Arizent, where they lead the team covering wealth management. Prior to this, they were the Editor-in-Chief for Financial Planning at Arizent.

Chana has also worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as the Managing Editor for US Wealth Management, responsible for content on the investor-education hub. Chana has also worked as a Business Journalist in a freelance capacity, writing and editing articles for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Business, and Reuters. Chana has covered academic business research for university publications at schools like the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Stanford Graduate School of Business.

In their earlier career, Chana worked as an Online Editor for WSJ.com Homepage on loan at The Wall Street Journal, where they coordinated with various teams for story presentation. Chana also worked as a Reporter for FX Corporate Hedging at Dow Jones Newswires, covering corporate currency hedging. Chana served as a News Editor in Tokyo for Bloomberg News, covering Asian company news. Additionally, they had freelance roles as a Foreign Correspondent and as an Associate Editor, Staff Writer, and Reporter for Forbes Magazine.

Chana holds a Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Business and Economic Journalism from Columbia University, where they completed their graduate studies in Journalism and Business.

Chana Zimmerman attended The Holton-Arms School from 1984 to 1995 for their high school education. Chana then went on to study at Harvard University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained an AB degree in History. Later, in 2005 and 2006, they attended Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Business and Economic Journalism. During the same period, they also attended Columbia Business School, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study there.
