Meryl Deles is a Navigator Coordinator at Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers, where they connect individuals, families, small business employers, and employees to healthcare coverage. Prior to this role, they gained experience as a Community Impact/Master of Social Work Intern at Valley of the Sun United Way, focusing on the Homelessness and Hunger Initiative. They also worked as a Master of Social Work Intern at Greater Valley Area Health Education Center and volunteered at Crisis Nursery in the Safe Children Program. Meryl holds a Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. They graduated from Carl Sandburg High School with honors and advanced placement credits.
Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers
The Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers (AACHC) is the Primary Care Association (PCA) for the State of Arizona. All states have one designated PCA to advance the expansion of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and advocate for the health care interests of the medically underserved and uninsured. AACHC, as a result, has many programs to assist member community health centers and the disadvantaged populations they serve. These programs vary from centralizing financial information and educational opportunities for members to peer networking committees for sharing of best practices.
