Gretchen Augustine has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Fort Hays State University. Currently, Gretchen is working as the Director at Arizona Auditor General, where Gretchen investigates allegations of fraud and misuse of public monies. Prior to this, Gretchen has also held positions as a Statewide accountant at Arizona Department of Administration and as an Auditor at Sherwin-Williams Paints.

The Arizona Office of the Auditor General… Who We Are—We serve as the State’s “watchdog” by making sure agencies, counties, universities, community college districts, and school districts are using their resources (taxpayer dollars) appropriately and effectively. Our Work—Our auditors and investigators perform highly specific work and research in response to State laws and legislative requests, and produce impactful reports with recommendations for improvements. Most of these recommendations are implemented, which results in better government for Arizona citizens.
