Jeff Gove is currently serving as the Director of the Performance Audit Division at Arizona Auditor General. With a background in film editing, journalism, and research, Jeff has a wide range of experience in managing projects and teams. Jeff has also worked as an editor at Sony Pictures Entertainment and as a reporter at Mercer Island Reporter. Jeff holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Arizona State University, a M.J. in Journalism from University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in Anthropology, Asian Studies, and Linguistics from Beloit College.

The Arizona Office of the Auditor General… Who We Are—We serve as the State’s “watchdog” by making sure agencies, counties, universities, community college districts, and school districts are using their resources (taxpayer dollars) appropriately and effectively. Our Work—Our auditors and investigators perform highly specific work and research in response to State laws and legislative requests, and produce impactful reports with recommendations for improvements. Most of these recommendations are implemented, which results in better government for Arizona citizens.
