Gary McIlvaine

Gary McIlvaine has extensive experience in educational leadership and assessment, currently serving as the Director of NAEP and International Assessment at the Arizona Department of Education since July 2019, while also holding the position of English Language Assessment Development Coordinator. Prior to this role, McIlvaine worked at Tsinghua International School as Dean of Students from February 2015 to August 2019 and taught Biology at Chongqing Bachuan International School from February 2014 to February 2015. Academic qualifications include an Ed. Specialist in Educational Administration and Supervision from Northwest Missouri State University, a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, and a Master's of Science in Education ELL from Northwest Missouri State University.
