Daniel Heltemes possesses extensive experience in law enforcement, currently serving as Chair and previously as Vice Chair of the Facial Identification Scientific Working Group since November 2020. Since July 2006, Daniel has held various positions within the Arizona Department of Public Safety, including Sergeant of the Forensic Images Unit and Detective in multiple units such as Special Investigations and Highway Interdiction. Additionally, Daniel is a member of the International Association for Identification since September 2021 and previously worked as a Police Officer for the City of Benson, Arizona. Daniel began a career in law enforcement at the Cochise County Sheriff's Office as an Emergency Dispatcher. Daniel holds an Associate of Science degree in Law Enforcement Technology from Rio Salado College.
