Daven Byrd

Daven Byrd currently serves as the Assistant Director of the Technical Services Division at the Arizona Department of Public Safety, overseeing a division that manages diverse functions including licensing, regulatory operations, and state criminal laboratory systems. Daven's extensive experience includes prior roles as Major and Chief of Staff within the Highway Patrol Division, and various positions at Rio Salado College and Phoenix College as an Adjunct Faculty member instructing law enforcement and healthcare courses. Daven has held leadership positions in organizations such as the Fraternal Order of Police and has contributed to the IACP DEC Program. With a robust educational background, Daven completed the FBI National Academy in 2023 and holds multiple degrees in public administration and criminal justice.
