William Downes

William Downes is a seasoned civil engineer currently serving as the Bridge Design Team Lead at the Arizona Department of Transportation, a position held since December 2007, with career progression from Designer to Sr. Bridge Engineer. Responsibilities include overseeing bridge projects, mentoring junior engineers, conducting structural analyses, and managing cost estimates. William has also represented the Bridge Group in contract selection processes and has experience in writing special provisions. Prior to this role, William worked as an EIT I at V3 Companies, focusing on engineering design for roadways and drainage projects.
