Ernie Bernard, Vice President of the Underground Division, has served a devoted 26 years with Arizona Pipeline. After high school, Ernie attended Orange Coast Community College where he participated in a two year Civil Engineering Surveying and Mapping Certification program. His desire to enter the underground utilities and pipeline industry lead him begin his career as an estimator with Alex Robertson Company. There he was responsible for cost estimating for labor, materials, and equipment for underground utility systems for Southern California Edison, General Telephone Co, Pacific Bell, The Gas Company and other large utility companies. After two years with Alex Robertson Company, Ernie joined the team at Arizona Pipeline Company as an Estimator and Superintendent. His experience and dedicated work ethic lead to his promotion to Senior Estimator and Project Manager where he was responsible for a multitude of tasks including estimation, bidding, communications, and management both in the office and in the field. After serving 11 years as Project Manager he was then named Division Manager where he was responsible for customer relations, estimating, negotiating and managing major contracts for Southern California Edison transmission and distribution construction in the Southern California region. After another 11 years, Ernie’s dedication to Arizona Pipeline Co. and construction management was honored when he was promoted to Vice President in April of 2016.
