Crystal Holcombe is an experienced Collection Specialist at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum since February 2008, previously serving as an Animal Keeper for five years in the Interpretive Animal Collection and three years in Mammology and Ornithology. This role involved the husbandry, enrichment, training, and medical care of a diverse range of animals including invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Before this position, Crystal worked at PetSmart for 17 years, starting as a cashier and advancing to Lead Cashier while managing responsibilities alongside academic pursuits. Crystal holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education from Miami University and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Biology and Spanish/Portuguese from the University of Arizona.
